Welcome to the Inventory Module manual!

Welcome to the user manual for our Inventory Module! This manual is here to help you understand and use the various features of the module. It provides easy-to-follow instructions and guidance for managing your inventory efficiently.

This manual is designed for merchants just like you who want to manage and maintain inventory using our ehouse.

How does it work? What's included?

After completing the 3 steps below, ehouse will immediately start managing your inventory.

It means that we will constantly update your stores' available stock according to our records, and keep you informed when stock levels are getting low.

It also means you'll have full visibility of your inventory status and full flexibility to change inventory levels manually.

Sounds exciting right? let's start

Step 1 - enabling the inventory management module

In order to start, simply go to the 'General settings' tab under your settings page and enable 'Inventory management'. The inv. management section now appears on your left menu.

Step 2 - Mapping Products to Inventory Items

Mapping your products to inventory items is crucial for accurate inventory management. We'll walk you through the process step by step, ensuring that each of your products is linked to the right inventory item.

Products sold in your store can be divided into 2 categories:

  1. products containing one inventory item - this is the most common way to sell products online and in this case, selling 1 product will trigger selling 1 inventory item. For example - selling a blue T-shirt or a rubber duck.

  2. Products containing several inventory items (bundles, sets) - In this case, selling one product (for example, a wine bundle) will trigger selling several inventory items (1 bottle of wine and 2 glasses)

There is no way for ehouse to automatically identify bundles, and therefore a short mapping is required.

Mapping regular Products

For these products (usually 98% of all products), we've made bulk mapping a breeze!

Simply select them all and press on the 'Link' button on the top right side of your screen. This will create dedicated inventory items and map each to the relevant product

You can always do it manually one by one but we know your time is expensive so we made it simple and easy for you.

Mapping Bundles

If you have bundle products in your catalog, they require a bit more attention. Don't worry – we'll guide you through the process, just follow these steps:

  1. Find the relevant product on the products tab and enter the editing modal by pressing on the pencil icon next to it.

  2. Search for the relevant inventory items in the list and simply assign them to your product.

  3. Can't find your inventory items? no worries, visit the 'Create inventory items' section.

  4. Please note that in case the bundle includes multiple items of an inventory item (for example - 2 glasses), you can easily modify it when doing the linkage.

Ehouse will start managing each product you map immediately.

Step 3 - Viewing and editing your inventory items

Your inventory status can be monitored on the inventory screen allowing you to find the items you're looking for, see their stock level and make manual adjustments.

You can also create new ones yourself.

Viewing and editing your products

Your product catalog can be monitored on the Products screen allowing you to find the products you're looking for, see their stock level and link them to inventory items.

Note: Creating new products cannot be done in ehouse, but in your store. once created, it will automatically be synced to ehouse.

Low Stock Alerts

To help you avoid stockouts, we've included a feature that allows you to set a lower bound for your inventory level. When an item's stock reaches this threshold, the system will send you an email alert to notify you of the low stock status.

Our email notifications are designed to provide you with all the necessary information. You'll receive details about the item, its current stock level, and a reminder to replenish the stock. It helps you stay on top of your inventory management.

The default lower bound can be changed on Settings -> General -> 'Receive daily e-mails about low stock items'

Want to set a different threshold per item? simply modify it when editing an inventory item.
